Message from the Youth Pastor
The other day I came across a beautiful verse that was so compelling, that it stirred my spirit. Not because it was just some nice words placed on paper, but because it was a “WORD” from the Lord that was needed at that precise hour. God is Good…(Don’t you agree!)
“Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails”
Proverbs 19:21
Many of us are trying to decide which way to go. Some of us have blueprints and a layout on the path our life is heading. Regardless of what end of the situation you’re in, the bible tells us that it is the Lord’s purpose that will prevail. It is the Lord who has the final word. There is no need to worry because all your steps have been ordered. God has already made provision for you.
Take a deep breath, the bible also says in Romans 8:28:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
So let us allow the Lord’s will to prevail in our lives; and for those who love to have everything in their control and planned out, planning and being well organized is great but always have a heart “Subject to change” in your life’s agenda. God may have you heading towards another direction.
The bible tells us “his thoughts are higher than our thoughts, he ways are higher than ours.” Why struggle with arguing with something that is evitable, and clearly the best route. He sees farther than we can and knows the plans he has specifically designed for each individual.
Let’s listen and follow his voice. Lead us Lord towards your will!
